    Wind River,2017

The opening scene begins with the suspicious death of a girl on a Native American reservation area. She is found sprawled on the snow with her purple feet setting the pace of this gripping thriller, which is one of the best I've watched this year.
The icy winds and terrible weather slow down the search for her cause of death. The local sheriff then asks the FBI to come in and they send a newbie agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen) to assess the case.
After several dead ends she eventually teams up with an animal tracker played by Jeremy Renner who has been hired to hunt a lion which is mauling livestock and causing havoc to the residents.
They sled from one end of the reservation to the next looking for clues and set the pace for the film which is definitely worth your while. The issues incorporated in the story explore the danger of not amplifying cases of missing women and assault and rape.
The movie is written and directed by Taylor Sheridan.
