Rogue One is a Star Wars spinoff film set in the period after the events of Episode III the Revenge Of The Sith & just before Episode IV A New Hope. The audience is flung into a galaxy suffering from the tyrannical reign of the Empire with no Jedi left to save the day. The only hope left for salvation is the Rebel Alliance.

The story centers around Jyn Erso& her ragtag group of fellow rebels. Over the course of the story Jyn finds out that her long lost father, a chief engineer working on the Empires newest weapon the iconic Death Star, has left her with the plans for this planet killing machine in the hopes that it can help the Rebel Alliance locate it's weakness, destroy it & finally liberate the entire galaxy.

Rogue One is a star wars unlike any other as it focuses on the espionage and guerrilla war tactics that the Rebel Alliance had to utilize in order to fight the Empire. This feels like a real war film an aspect the other films in the franchise have only touched upon.

As a certified Star Wars fan I really enjoyed the various easter eggs & cameo appearances. Although the pacing of film starts of slow the story becomes more enthralling as it continues all the way until the thrilling third act. Rogue One is a film full of heart, great characters & amazing visuals making it a worthy addition to the much beloved Star Wars universe. I highly implore everyone especially devoted fans of the franchise to watch it.

Indeed, the visuals are so, so fulfilling. I watched the film in 3D on opening night, and I remember going on non-stop about the great film that it is. Darth Vader was breathtaking as can be. This one definitely made up for the slight miss that was Force Awakens.

Its amazing honestly. Yes although I love The Force Awakens one cannot refute that Rogue One is a better film all round especially in terms of the plot. Its an original story that didn't need to rehash anything. And yeah the Darth Vader cameos gave me multiple nerdgasms
