Ooookay I gave up and Googled the story 5 minutes into the movie.
I would have to say the allegory was nice and certainly made me look over my life and what kind of impact I have on earth (are you just rolling up to someone's house and painting the walls? Ripping out the sink?).
I do have to say some of the metaphors were quite heavy handed and grotesque but Javier and J.Law (eye roll) actually played their part well and the over the shoulder camera shots certainly added to the anxious atmosphere in the movie.
Mother! is the type of movie to not do well in the box office but still become a huge cult classic.---
