SCREAM at the top your lungs if a killer or demonic entity is after you! Today I’ll be listing 10 underrated scream queens. These are the bad bitches who survived the chaos, bloodshed and mayhem and came out on top.
Alright, let's get screamy!
10. Carmen Ejogo (The Purge: Anarchy, It Comes at Night, and Alien: Covenant) The good sis should do more horror films because she’s good in them and I really love her in Alien: Covenant, that sequence is amazing kudos to her.
#9. Emma Roberts (Scream 4, The Blackcoat's Daughter, Scream Queens and American Horror Story) The most talented Roberts currently working in Hollywood started off as a teen queen but soon she reinvented herself as a scream with a few movies here and there but her current run on American Horror Story, sees her do some of her best work.
#8. Katie Cassidy (When a Stranger Calls, Supernatural, Harper’s Island, Black Christmas, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Wolves at the Door) Katies Cassidy has been in so many horror remakes but her best work comes from her stint on Supernatural as the iconic demon Ruby who had the Winchesters shaking. Most of the people out there will recognize her as Black Canary on The CW’s Arrow, a revolutionary show for superhero TV.
#7. Meagan Good (Venom, One Missed Call, Saw V, The Unborn) This black queen deserves better, like leading roles better because she’s been dying in these horror films but she does it good (see what I did there? Lol)
#6. (Tie) Vera Farmiga (Joshua, Orphan, The Conjuring franchise and Bates Motel) & Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story, The Final Girls, and The Nun) Probably one of the most hard-working girls in the horror genre Vera & Tessa are showing no signs of slowing down. Vera’s work in the Bates Motel series is legendary, while her work in The Conjuring franchise launched her into the scream queen lane. The other Farmiga sister Taissa does her best work on the American Horror Story franchise but watch her in The Nun and final girls.
#5. Melissa George (The Amityville Horror 2005 remake, Turistas, WΔZ, Triangle, 30 Days of Night, Bag of Bones)
This Australian scream queen has been in some pretty dope horror movies but she’s also been in some other great films not in the genre, what a talented white queen.
#4. Emmanuelle Vaugier (Bind, Hysteria, Mirrors 2, Saw series, Masters of Horror, House of the Dead 2, Mindstorm, Ripper, Wishmaster 3, Fear 2)
This that sis that was in Smallville, so we like her, but have y’all seen her horror movie resume?
#3. Danielle Harris (Halloween 4 and 5, Urban Legend, Halloween 2007, Left for Dead, Halloween II, Hatchet II, The Victim, Devil’s Night)
I mean excuse me? Look at the number of movies she’s been in! This girl is still making more horrors, ugh a FAVE.
#2. Lili Taylor (The Addiction, The Haunting, The Conjuring, and Leatherface)
Taylor is a great actress already but when you look at her horror work, she’s truly one of the best to ever do it. From being in one of the best vampire films ever made, to starring The Conjuring and even doing a short stint on the Netflix series Hemlock Grove.
#1. Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Wolf Lake, Monster Island, Final Destination 3, Black Christmas, Death Proof, The Thing, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and 10 Cloverfield Lane)
The sis is now in a DC film, so she’s gone over to the “meh” side, but MEW has a great streak of horror films that includes a Final Destination movie and a John Carpenter remake, oh she also did a Teen Wolf-ish TV series back in the early 2000’s.
Whew man these bitches can scream. Be sure to check their respective movies to see what I’m talking about and check out tinycouchreview.com for more epic tiny10’s and tinyARTICLES.
