Sometimes all someone needs is a puddle of blood splattering all over their screen to get their adrenaline going. Spooktober (the month of the unspoken-of Halloween) has a reputation for inciting such movie cravings, and there's nothing more frustrating than having to dig through the pits of the Internet to find a good, gory film to indulge your ache. Luckily though, I've put together a bingeable list of bloody movies to watch back to back to quinch that thirst!
In Justine’s family everyone is a vet and a vegetarian. At 16, she’s a gifted teen ready to take on her first year in vet school, where her older sister also studies. There, she gets no time to settle: hazing starts right away. Justine is forced to eat raw meat for the first time in her life. Unexpected consequences emerge as her true self begins to form.
A single mother (Cocco) becomes afflicted with double vision. Taking care of her newborn baby becomes a nightmare as the mother also becomes paranoid. The only time the mother doesn’t see double is when she sings. She also finds solace in cutting herself, allowing her blood to drip free and able to feel alive. A terrifying nervous breakdown ensues. When things spiral out of control, her baby is taken away.
The Descent (2005)
Archaeologist Scarlett Marlowe has devoted her whole life to finding one of history's greatest treasures: Flamel's Philosopher's Stone. When she learns that the stone is hidden underground in the Catacombs of Paris, she assembles a crew to guide and document her historic mission. As they begin their descent, the team-members have no way of knowing that they are entering their own personal hell.
A Tale of Two Sisters (2003)
A recently released patient from a mental institution returns home with her sister, only to face disturbing events between her stepmother and the ghosts haunting their house- all of which are connected to a dark past in the family’s history.
